Director of Business Development

As Director of Business Development, Adam Hurry, CEI, coordinates efforts to build relationships with referral sources, manages business development strategies, and collaborates with our admissions department. Adam has a strong passion for helping individuals struggling with mental health and addiction find the resources they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives.

Adam is a man with many talents and a heart for service. He first joined South Coast Behavioral Health in 2022 as the alumni coordinator, and his role has since expanded to include group facilitator, client relations, and business development. Throughout his career with South Coast, Adam has made it his mission to build and maintain relationships with current clients, alumni, staff, and local referral partners.

In his past role as our alumni coordinator, Adam supported clients with resources and encouragement to succeed in long-term recovery. During his time as an inpatient group facilitator, he focused on psychoeducation to teach clients about substance abuse and addiction. He also supports clients in our outpatient community groups at our Newport Beach recovery center.

Adam Hurry began his work in addiction treatment in 2018 as a Behavioral Health Technician at Bridges To Life Detox. Since then, he has helped people in recovery as the Operations Manager for multiple California treatment centers. His experience with rehab programs in Orange County also helps South Coast build strong relationships with other local centers sharing our mission.

As a South Coast alum himself, Adam gives back by supporting other alumni with his unique insight and personal connection. His dedication to helping clients reach their goals earned him the SCBH 2022 Culture of Service Award.

South Coast Behavioral Health was a great experience. I’m sad to go, but thankful for all the growth and tools they gave me to continue my life down the correct path. Big thanks to Emily, April, Jojo, Courtney & Dawna from my detox and residential experience. Thank you to Michelle for being the greatest therapist I’ve ever had. Thank you to my case managers Brian and Richard! You truly showed me I was cared for. I will miss my house managers the most; Rae, Bobby & Tabby make me feel like I was home. I will never forget my experience here. Amazing facilitators, especially Sunday, Bryce, John, Joey, Bethany & Casey. Highly recommend ❤️
