Partial hospitalization allows clients to progress in their recovery while still working, caring for their families, and living “normal life.” This flexible care option is ideal for many as an entrance point. Intensive outpatient treatment is an option for those who have responsibilities at home and have reached more independence in sobriety. It is the level of care following partial hospitalization. The number of hours spent in treatment per day is further reduced from PHP. Overall, clients maintain their outside responsibilities while attending addiction management sessions on weekdays.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a rehab track that incorporates prescription medication into treatment for clients who require it. Despite the stigma, there is no shame in receiving medication for addiction maintenance or mental illness. On the contrary, clients can experience a better quality of life through the easing of their symptoms. Oftentimes, individuals are prescribed comfort medication during detox to help with withdrawal symptoms. They may also be given prescriptions for chronic pain, symptoms of mental illness, or other case-by-case reasons.
