During individual therapy sessions, you work one-on-one with a licensed therapist who will help you identify the causes of your addiction. During sessions, you’ll examine how certain actions contribute to addictive behaviors. This type of therapy allows you to develop healthier thoughts and learn how to handle life’s stressful situations without turning to drugs or alcohol. Individual therapy also provides you with the resources to build new coping mechanisms that can further support your recovery journey.

Group Therapy

In group therapy, you can work together with your peers through the recovery process. Group sessions are also a wonderful way to receive support and gain an understanding of others throughout treatment. Group therapy is not only about listening to others’ experiences, but also about being heard by those who have gone through similar struggles. Each member can find strength in leaning on each other while building healthier coping capabilities during recovery.

Family Therapy

Family therapy assists those seeking to recover from addiction in addressing the underlying family dynamics that can contribute to ongoing substance abuse issues. Working with a trained therapist, the entire family learns more about themselves and their patterns of interaction. This leads to better communication between all family members. Holistic Rehabilitation

All of our programs follow a holistic approach to recovery. This means we are focused on providing recovery to the mind, body, and spirit. Our male-only inpatient treatment programs are in Irvine and Costa Mesa. We also offer PHP/IOP programs in Newport Beach. Our Newport Beach location is a co-ed outpatient program for men and women who are looking for structure and clinical guidance to maintain long-term sobriety.

Inpatient Treatment

During the inpatient phases of treatment, which include our medical detox and inpatient residential programs, we separate men and women completely. Women will live in one of our houses with all-female peers, while men will reside in another home with all-male peers for treatment. The clinical decision to separate genders during these significant early stages was made to keep the focus on recovery. Male and female dependency can often develop during these vulnerable stages of early recovery, which is one reason we men and women live separately and attend group therapy sessions with peers of the same gender. Another reason for separation during these levels of care is that we are a trauma-focused treatment center. Many of our clients are coming to us with a trauma history that may be exacerbated or triggered by the opposite sex. Until these trauma for therapy is done, clinical work is done we will keep men and women separated during treatment.

Do you accept couples?

Yes, we do accept couples who are looking to attend treatment at the same time. We will not permit couples to live together during treatment, as our goal is for each partner to do work on themself before reuniting. We look to strengthen the relationship you and your partner have by strengthening each whole person first.

Entering Addiction Treatment in California

Substance abuse treatment can be a difficult and vulnerable experience, so why would you consider traveling away from the familiarity of home to receive it? The truth is, the opioid crisis has impacted certain regions of the United States much harder than others. If you happen to live in an area that is similarly struggling with opioid addiction, it might be necessary to travel for substance abuse treatment so that you can access life-saving support. This is especially true if you’re in a rural community where recovery resources such as 12-step support groups and specialized recovery initiatives are limited or simply don’t exist. Although leaving your comfort zone may come with challenges, traveling for addiction treatment could end up being what saves your life.

It is important that you remove yourself from any negative environmental influences to recover from long-term substance abuse. Over the years of abusing substances and engaging in behaviors related to addiction, many people establish a toxic living environment that supports their drug abuse. To successfully recover from addiction, traveling for treatment can provide the change and safety needed.

By traveling for treatment, you can enter into a private treatment environment with qualified medical care. This takes you away from people and scenarios that might encourage old habits. If you are truly looking for a change, take a break from the people, places, and things that could easily lead back down the road toward alcohol or drug use. Doing this will give you the best chance for re-establishing your health both mentally and physically. For these reasons, among many others, it’s best to attend treatment away from home. This change of environment helps to break ingrained associations, as well as provides relief from triggers— allowing for the individual to focus solely on his or her recovery. This change is also shown to reduce instances of leaving treatment before completing the program.

If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
We are here to help because we’ve been there.

Let us help you take back your life.
You are the most important individual that we can help. You matter to us in ways that we cannot describe in words. Your life has value, and no matter how broken you think you are, we are here to help put the pieces back together.
